Ashlynn, 25, USA

"I am still working through the thought process leading up to why I transitioned in the first place to the reason why I've ultimately decided to detransition. Internalized misogyny and homophobia, combined with a few other mental disorders, seems to be the most common denominator. Coming to terms with these and finding healthy coping skills has been a bigger struggle than I ever thought possible, but at the end of the day I do not regret transitioning. The experiences shaped who I am, the person I am proud of, and continues to do so. And for that, I am grateful."
