45. Tyla

£0.00

Tyla, 28 years old, Canada

“5.5 years on testosterone and a double mastectomy haven’t stopped me from becoming the woman I am today. People like me are why we need more safeguards for medical transition.

I identified as nb first and then again after stopping T. I was going through a really tough time with my mental health and thought this would solve everything even in 2013, I was on T within a few appointments with no therapy required. My mental health only got worse from there, sadly.

I was on T from 18-24 and had my double mastectomy at 21. Even though I’ve been off of T for years, it took me until recently to realise it was all a mistake. This whole experience has been a wild ride. “
