My name is Carol, I am 43 years old and live in California. My story is sadly very common, like many of my butch lesbian sisters I transitioned out of a belief that I couldn’t really be a woman because I have many masculine traits.
I began my transition at 34 years old and after 4 years living as a trans man I stopped taking my testosterone injections and accepted myself as the woman I’ve always been, a butch lesbian.
I speak out now in the hope I can help other butch lesbians like myself find their way back to self acceptance and love.
